After the visit in mid-October with the command and the Marines at the squadron in San Diego, the foundation returned to Texas and the Lincoln was in New Jersey. While up in New Jersey the Lincoln would be worked on by a few shops, and the planning of the next Livery to adorn the Lincoln was well underway. Meetings with all those involved in the current progress occurred over the next few months to keep the progress moving forward. A few issues were discovered and repaired, the final design of the livery was completed and a mock up design was helping to accomplish the vision of our planned future delivery. With the logistics now in place to have the Lincoln shipped to Texas where the Lincoln would undergo phase two preparations prior to a cross-country road and delivery trip to MCAS Miramar, the planning to execute a delivery and return the RaiderMobile to the Marines at the squadron around the end of March 2021 was becoming a reality.

In late January 2021 the work on the Lincoln up in New Jersey was completed and the shipping was set for early February. The logistics of the shipment was complete as well as the funding to do so. The funding was a combined effort by the foundation and by a generous donation by a former Raider, and Keeper of the Car, James King who sponsored half the cost of the shipping. On the early morning of February 20th the Lincoln was prepped for shipping and by days end the Lincoln adorning its iconic black-on-black-on-black finish was now on its way to the great state of Texas. The foundation was in Miramar on February 25th to attend the Change of Command where LtCol Mike Blejski took command of the Raiders, as he would be the Commanding Officer of the Squadron when the delivery of the Lincoln would take place allowing the RaiderMobile to continue on its legacy within the command.
On the morning of February 26th the foundation received word that the Lincoln arrived in Texas where the Lincoln would undergo the final phase of the project over the next few weeks.

Please continue to follow along with our progress by visiting our website at www.theraidermobile.com or our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/theraidermobilefoundation. We are still in need of donations. If you can donate please do so. This will allow the foundation to not only complete the remaining 10% of this project, and will also assist in the delivery of the RaiderMobile back to its rightful “Duty Station” in San Diego, California. The RaiderMobile Foundation would like to thank everyone involved with this project, and those who have helped in any way making this project become a reality. Semper Fi
