Outside of the actual restoration we have now heard back from the State of California and “The Raider Mobile Foundation” is now recognized in the state of California as an official entity. The paperwork was submitted back in late April 2016, and once the federal 501c3 Non-Profit approval comes back all future donations made, and those dating back to our submission will qualify for individuals to claim as an official donation made to a charity or in our case a Non-Profit. As of this month both the donor car and the Raider Mobile are together and await the next phase of the restoration process. The pictures in this post were taken at the shop before the car was moved to its current location with the donor car. We are continuing the fundraising to support this goal and also making more contacts with individuals interested in supporting our efforts. I would like to take a moment to recognize Rich Driscoll, and the Marine Corps Air Transport Association (MCATA) for helping us in our efforts to get the word out there by talking about “Operation Restore Tanker Lincoln” on page seven (7) of the Transporter Winter – Spring 2016 Edition of their Newsletter. Research for the required parts and items needed during the restoration process continues daily and those contacts have proven to be very resourceful as we continue on. I am currently trying to schedule a few fundraisers again in the upcoming months and a bigger one planned for September timeframe. We look forward to posting more updates and pictures in the future. Please continue to share this project and donate if you can in support of the final goal, as I look forward to sharing it with all of our supporters in the years to come.
